I went to the AB (Ancienne Belgique) in Brussels this evening with my sis and her fiancee to see the band Low.
Saw them for the fourth time and as always they were great! Bought afterwards 3 cd's and a band T-shirt...
Low plays slow beautiful music, with lots of tension and great lyrics. The unique voices of Mimi and Alan are the central lines in their music, while the bass of Zak is crucial for the tension.
They played a lot from their latest album, and some classics from 'Things we lost in the fire' and 'Trust'.

As a guy who lives on his own I have to cook regularly.
I'm not very fond of those microwave meals, and I'm really enjoying preparing a meal when I come home. Now and then I try something 'special'. Today I was in for some pasta. Very easy:
ingredients (for 2 - 3 portions)
400 g salmon fillets
100 ml. cream
Cut the carrots in small pieces and throw them in half a liter of boiling water. Add some salt. Add the leek and let it cook for a quarter of an hour. Cut the pomegranate into pieces and add it. Same goes for the onion. Let it cook for another half hour.
Cook the salmon, once it's cooked add the salmon fillets to our vegetables. Mix with a wooden spoon (until the salmon starts to break into pieces). Now add the cream and let it cook for another 10 minutes. Spice it up with dill and some sage and tarragon.
I prefer to serve this with green tagliatelle.

Well, it's typical I guess. Everytime U2 tours their show sell out mega fast. And since the rise of eBay we meet a new problem: some scum individuals buy tickets to sell them immediately on eBay for a doubled, tripled or even insaner price!
I mean, the tickets got sold on saturdaymorning (in 4 hours, go figure...) and by noon, the first were already available on eBay.be. I'm getting sick and disgusted by these 'fans' who suddenly realize they can't join the show...and making hundreds of Euro's just by getting tickets they don't need.
I'm getting even more disgusted by those who could sell tickets in advance by registering on U2.com and sell them afterwards.
Arghhfff, it's frustrating to see that the black market has shifted from the dark little streetcorners to such a public (anonymous) place like eBay.
I have my three tickets, and I'll be there on the 10th of June with two of my best friends. I hope I'll meet other people too who got their by buying their tickets regularely.
Just to demonstrate: U2 tickets for sale on eBay Belgium

Well, I'm blogging. Not sure what I'll write here but I "guess" I'll try to keep you updated about some things in my life.
Like concerts I've been to, cd's I listened, crappy code I've written.
I would like to thank Serge for giving me the opportunity to have my own vbCity Blog.
More to come!
