For those who don't know, PrettyCode.Print for .NET (“PCP.NET“) enables you to produce professionally styled color coded printouts of .NET source code that are ideal to
O Prepare your code for Code Reviews
O Produce a beautiful paper backup of your .NET source code
O Locate bugs, and identify areas for improvement
O Use samples of code in your proposals, technical briefs, and presentations
O Impress your clients, managers, or colleagues with the professionalism of a PrettyCode.Print printout while explaining a certain point
O Learn programming using Visual Basic .NET and C#

I'm very pleased to announce the release of PrettyCode.Print for .NET - our first 100% managed code product.

This first version of PrettyCode.Print for .NET supports both VB.NET and C# solutions, it can be run standalone or as VS.NET Add-In. Add-In for VS.NET 2002 and 2003 is supported. Add-In for VS.NET 2005 will be added soon. It prints WinForms source code when run it standalone or as VS.NET Add-In and WebForms (ASP.NET) CodeBehind when use it as VS.NET Add-In.

In addition to the essential features available in its older brother - PrettyCode.Print for VB6 - these are added features:

  • Two Project Views - Solution Explorer and Class View
  • Filter by member scope
  • square or rounded code block bracket connections
  • Watermarks
  • Print Preview window Navigation Page with Thumbnails and Outline
  • formatted printout Export to PDF
  • and more...

For the complete detailed list of features and free evaluation download visit the web site.

Note: PCP.NET does not support VB6/VBA projects - PrettyCode.Print for VB6 is still to be used for that.

We are working now on our new developer productivity tool - to be announced soon.

Hopefully I can now put a bit more attention to the vbCity Community changes planned for a while, launch new revamped DevCity.NET and put some code and articles up online.
