I just learned I have to stick with VS 2005 Beta 2 Standard for some time - the Professional Edition will only become available in a week or two. Bummer :(
I have run at the same Add-In registration problem in VS 2005 Beta 2 Std I was having with the latest CTP build.
We developed CodeIt.Once Add-In for VS 2005 using Dec CTP and we are registering it according to the new VS 2005 Add-In Registration rules.
This worked perfectly fine with the Dec 2004 CTP. But Feb 2005 CTP Add-In Manager doesn't see the Add-In nor the Beta 2 Standard Edition.
Until the Pro is available we will not be able to recompile CodeIt.Once with Beta 2 as Standard Edition can only consume Add-Ins which are created with the Pro edition...
So, I'm not going to delay CodeIt.Once Beta 1 anymore - the version for VS 2003 will be released on Tuesday, April 19th. And Beta 1 build for the VS 2005 is coming out soon after that.
