How to configure w.bloggar
 
Note: Currently .TEXT does not support updating posts via MetaBlog API. You can only add new posts using descktop client. To edit existing posts you will need to use your Blog Admin panel.
 
Here is how to configure w.bloggar desktop client (Freeware) to post to your blogs.vbcity.com weblog.
 
Blog setup
Important: In this article we will assume that your blog name (username) is myblog - you should use your actual blog name wherever myblog is refenced.
  1. Download w.bloggar from http://www.wbloggar.com and install it
  2. Run w.bloggar
  3. Enter your blog credentials and click OK



  4. Enter your account settings

    Blog Tool: Custom
    Account Name: My Blog (or whatever you want it to be)

    Host: blogs.vbcity.com
    Page: /myblog/services/metablogapi.aspx



  5. Click Custom and enter more blog settings

    Posts: metaWeblog API
    Categories: metaWeblog API - Multi
    Templates: Not Supported


That's it, you are all set!
 
Well, almost :)
 
FTP Account Setup
 
If you want to be able to blog with pictures and/or attachments you will need to setup FTP account access parameters. Again, we will use myblog as your account name and you should use the user name and password you received in the email.
 
In w.bloggar go to File -> Settings -> Upload and enter the following

Host: blogs.vbcity.com
User: myblog
Password: mypassword
URL to Link: http://blogs.vbcity.com/upload/myblog/


 
Now you can upload pictures and files with Tools -> Upload File (Ctrl+D)
