I thought I'd mention an excellent offer from Red Gate, their Friends Of Red-Gate program. It is aimed at

I am priviledged to be a member via my MVP award. I signed up back in June and am very grateful to Red Gate for accepting me into the program. It really is an excellent offer and my advice is that anyone who believes they qualify for membership should apply.

To quote Red-Gate

The purpose of the program is to give valued people in the community the chance to use and review Red Gate's tools, at no cost to them. The reason for doing this is so you will be better informed when helping others that are having problems that could be solved using Red Gate's tools.

By becoming a part of this program you will be:

  • Given a free, fully supported license to use the Red Gate tools
  • Told about updates, new releases, etc before anybody else
  • Given access to the developers who developed the products
  • Able to have a beer, or coffee, on Red Gate, when you meet Red Gate at a tradeshow

Friends of Red Gate will be chosen at Red Gate's discretion. As the license(s) is a gift to you, and can cost thousands of dollars, we ask that you do not re-sell it, pass it on to anyone else, or use it for commercial purposes without the prior consent of Red Gate Software. The products are designed to be simple, easy to use, and valuable in the relevant environment. Red Gate hopes you find this the case, and use the product freely for your own purposes, to review the product and offer advice, recommendations, etc about Red Gate's tools through the likes of news groups and throughout the community in general, although you are under no obligation to do so.

I have had not had chance to take Red-Gate up on their offer of a coffee yet but I have got an excellent Friends Of Red Gate T-Shirt. I must remember to post a picture up on my blog with me wearing it :)

If you think you may quality for the offer contact Kathryn, who has been extremely helpful in keeping me informed of Red-Gate's products.

I will be posting some reviews of Red Gate's products shortly. Suffice to say so far I have been impressed with their products.
