My name is Andrew Sutton, aka Shandy.

I am currently living and working in the UK as a software developer. This blog contains mainly IT related issues.

I was a Microsoft VB MVP for a couple of years (Apr 2004-Mar 2006) and was a vbCityLeader between April 2003 and June 2007.

If you are looking for my Sri Lanka or Morocco experiences check out Shandy's Sri Lanka Blog or Shandy's Morocco Blog. My personal (Non IT) blog is now at Shandy's Place

I booked my plane ticket to Singapore on Friday to attend the Asia MVP Summit 2005. I've taken the whole week off work as I intend to stay on after the summit finishes on Tuesday until Saturday. My wife is accompanying me but under strict instructions that the summit takes priority and so she is on her own until Wednesday! I still need to sort out whether I need a VISA or not after getting conflicting reports.

Looking at the agenda I think I will spend Monday on the developer track and Tuesday on the Application track. Needless to say a couple of the presentations I really want to see clash so I may decide differently once I get there.

It's great that all the other Sri Lanka MVPs, Jinath, Wela, Prasanna, Merill, Manzi & Ruwan are going to the summit.
