I noticed this exciting post on Mike McIntyre's blog, Free Sql Server 2005 and Visual Studio 2005 eLearning Courses From Microsoft.You'll need to register a .NET passport to access the free courses. The offer finishes on 8th November 2005. When you activate a course you have access to it for 3 months.

You can view the course off-line but for that will need to install the eLearning Offline Player, which is a 4 Meg download.

I am currently downloading Course 2924: Building Data Components in Microsoft® Visual Studio® 2005, which is a 5.25 Meg download. The download rate was slow (and I thought the download had stalled at one point). I'll have a look at the course and post a review in the next few days.
