Following on from the previous thread about Declan's operation ...
Firstly, I'd like to say thanks for all the kind thoughts (including a thread on vbCity started by SkullCrusher) - it's really nice to know that people are thinking of us while we're quietly stressing ourselves over here.
As I mentioned in the other thread, the operation has been put back a day so he will not be done on the 18th. Declan's actually quite excited at going to hospital for 2 weeks and thinks it's a bit of an adventure. We've tried to make it seem like something special for him but obviously telling him what he's having done. He's a bit worried about "having his belly cut open" but we told him they'd sew it back up so he's kind of ok about it.
