Since Tony Blair's oh-so-convincing election "win", the subsequent drop in Labour's majority to only 66 seats and Labour actually losing the popular vote in England and having to form a Minority Rule government, it is increasingly obvious that our beloved leader is a bit of a Lame Duck.
The government was elected by only 1/6th of the population and has a marginal majority in the Commons which should bring about some rather interesting and (for Labour) embarassing defeats of unpopular legislation.
It could be worse of course, the Canadian government just won a vote of confidence with a whopping 1 (yes, one) vote. But then they've gone out of their way to bring democracy and an end to discrimination to their country whereas our governmnet seeks only to extend and perpetuate it.
